I AM FELIX, AN ORDINARY HIPSTER FROM BERLIN.

# Typical Felix

I guess I belong to this kind of person that many would call a hipster. Recently I moved to Kreuzberg near Kottbusser Tor, one of the hotspots of hipsterism in Berlin. I wear horn-rimmed glasses and a moustache and this is not only in November. Also, I dress like what other people would consider a hipster. Brown high-water pants, plus a white oversized T-shirt and preferably a wine-red beanie. Although in the mainstream already arrived, but still mega nice, are cool crew socks. I think crew socks are a small, uncomplicated way to show his own style and stand out from the crowd. Basic bitches or not - unfortunately they are still cool.

# Chia seeds are so healthy

Since I moved to Berlin, I no longer eat my bowls without chia seeds. Do you know chia seeds? No, really not? Really great these miracle seeds. I can't live without them - lots of antioxidants! I also feel much better in the morning. And since avocado egg benedict on sourdough bread has become mainstream, you can't eat that anymore. I liked it even before it became mainstream. Same with sweet potatoes, now I see them everywhere. Also only something for those basic bitches.

# E-Scooters are something for tourists

In Berlin, I usually only ride my bicycle. You can't take these e-scooters anymore either, only tourists do that. Jens - a good friend of mine - has mounted a small wooden box on the front of my old Dutch bike. Really handy, especially for shopping and so. I got the bike from a flea market. There are so many in Berlin. I also own a silver retro racing bicycle, which I use only on sunny days. The pretty thing is hanging in my living room on the wall and should not get dirty. Jens is a carpenter and has just opened a super cool little store in Kreuzberg-Friedrichshain. He makes everything himself and uses only wood from local forests.

# Super international here everything

I'm looking forward to the next gin tasting after work at my house with Ramos and Rachel. Super international everything here! Ramos comes from Panama and Rachel is from Israel. She always makes such a super good hummus! Once you've eaten it, you can't buy the supermarket stuff anymore. I only buy from local stores. You can't get me into one of those giant grocery store chains.

# Nine to Five is nothing for me

The work is also great. I don't earn as much as I used to, but we have a ping-pong table in our office. Unfortunately, Ramos always wins. I am also very much self-determined today! Nine to five is not for me. I like to go to the coffee shop for two hours with my Mac Book and work from there, which didn't work in the past. The coffeeshop downstairs from our office is super cozy and makes the best chai latte with soy milk in all of Berlin.

# Vegan diet

I've been trying to eat only vegan lately. Since I saw Seaspiracy, I don't eat fish any longer - only very rarely.

# I don't watch TV anymore for a long time

Do you still watch television? Yes? I don't. I don't even have a TV at home. Or rather, the one I do have is never on. I simply don't want to be part of this consumer and entertainment culture anymore and now only consume media consciously.
